Graphical Interface

One of the frequent accusations that Linux administrators have to listen to their Windows-colleagues – is the lack of graphical administrative tools of Linux-systems. For most of us it's not a drop is not critical, because we have long mastered all the subtleties of the configuration files located in / etc. Nevertheless, we are pleased to announce that GAdmin-Rsync reveals a new front in the campaign for the introduction of GUI-facilities within the scope of system administration. rsync – a program for UNIX-like systems, which implements the synchronization of files and directories in two places with minimizing traffic, using the encoding of data as needed. An important difference between rsync from many other programs / protocols is that mirrored by a single thread in each direction (instead of one or more threads for each file.) rsync can copy or reproduce the contents of the directory and copy files, optionally using compression and recursion. In fact, GAdmin-Rsync – a graphical frontend for the command rsync, which also contains support for SSH and SCP and the creation of spare images from remote servers and remote servers. Installation is simple, and except for the rsync, relationships practically no. It used a script that simplifies all operations in excess of the minimum gentlemen – configure & & make & & make-install a lot of time it will not take.

GAdmin-Rsync will take you through the initial creation of backup copies, asking a few simple issues through the wizard. From here you can set up jobs to run Cron period and to add other sets to copy. GAdmin-Rsync has a relatively simple configuration backup from the local machine to a remote (local-to-remote) and remote machine on the local (remote-to-local), and takes care of the SSH key, and other, often confusing and technologies. In fact, a couple of minutes after installing GAdmin-Rsync on our central server backups, we were able to run backup on all Linux-machines, and is responsible to inform you that GAdmin-Rsync deal with it. Yes, we know that all this is doable with rsync and manual editing crontab, but why not use a tool to to concentrate all the work in one place?
